Ok so firstly I'll tell you about Ajenno Designs and how it came about and then I'll tell you a little about myself. I decided to launch Ajenno Designs as a business in the summer of 2006. Back then though it wasnt known as Ajenno Designs it was just known as "the business". I started off selling jewellery to friends and family and then started doing jewellery parties. I didnt set up my website until over 6 months later when I realised that the ebay shop I had wasnt working. Before setting up the website though we had to come up with a name. My boyfriend thought that I should include my own name but I wasnt too keen so we compromised and he came up with the idea of Ajenno which is an anagram of my name Joanne. The idea was well recieved and Ajenno Designs was born. Now a year and a half later I have a website, I do regular craft fairs and markets and I also do a lot of jewellery parties. Every so often I look back over what I've done and achieved in the last 18 months and it seems unreal that I've crammed it all in. The business is still expanding and I am getting busier and busier. One day I hope to concentrate on this full time.... then I'll take over the world. Only joking..
So now about me. I first learnt the basics of jewellery making back when I was a wee little thing and my Brown Owl organised an evening of jewellery making at the local Brownie Pack I attended. After that night I was hooked. I always made the odd bit of jewellery growing up when I couldnt find any in the shops that matched my outfit but the idea of making jewellery as a business didnt happen until I was in my early twenties. Apart from Jewellery making I have loads of other hobbies and things that I try and cram into my life like Snowboarding, running, socialising with friends o and I also have a full time job which keeps me busy Monday to Friday every week. Some people ask how I find the time to make jewellery as well as doing all the things that I do but to me it's not about finding the time, I make jewellery simply becasue I love it!
I've met so many fantastic people doing what I do and have had a brilliant time with my business so far. I hope that this continues for years to come.
Thanks for reading.
I hope you like my jewellery as much as I do.
