1) Who and What is Ajenno Designs?
Ajenno Designs is a handmade Jewellery business set up and run by me, Jo Smith in Bristol, England. I run Ajenno Designs as a business in my spare time, fitting it in around my 9-5 job. One day I hope to be able to pack in my office job and concentrate on my jewellery full time but until then I shall carry on juggling the two.
2) What does Ajenno mean?
Ajenno is my name, Joanne, with the letters all jumbled up. My other half came up with the idea when we were trying to decide on a name for my business. Only one person has ever worked this out and that was my first Business Current Account Manager. I walked into my first meeting with him and the first thing he said was “I received your application on Friday then spent all weekend thinking and I’ve worked it out – it’s your name”. Bizarre but funny. At least I knew my business manager was thinking about me?!
3) How did you get into Jewellery Making?
I actually first got into jewellery making after spending the evening being taught the basics at my local Brownie Pack, of which I was of course a member. Since then I’ve made jewellery on and off over the years and it’s just kind of grown with me.
4) Where Can I buy your Jewellery from?
My jewellery is available to buy from my website, from my Etsy shop, from my stall at any of the events I attend or from me in person via a private arrangement.
5) Do you list anyone else’s jewellery on your website?
No is the harsh but simple answer. I set this website up to showcase my own jewellery not other peoples. There are plenty of other websites out there that offer this service. I would be happy to offer any advice about these services if you have any questions so please feel free to get in touch: info@ajenno.co.uk.
6) Do you offer tuition?
I can do. It is something I have offered in the past but due to lack of interest the idea fell to the wayside. If you are interested in tuition and live within 30 mins drive of the Bristol area then please do get in touch by emailing me info@ajenno.co.uk and putting “tuition” in the subject.
7) Do you take Commissions?
YES – I love working on commissions. If this is something you would like to find out more about then head on over to the commissions part of the website or drop me an email: info@ajenno.co.uk putting “Jewellery Commission” in the subject.
8) Will you post items to an address outside of the UK?
YES – I can post parcels to anywhere in the world providing a valid address is provided.
9) How much do you charge for delivery?
The charges for delivery are: Uk and Worldwide Purchases up to £30 = £3.00. UK and Worldwide Purchases over £30 = £5.00. All UK purchases will be sent recorded delivery and all Worldwide will be sent International Signed For.
10) Where do you buy your beads from?
If I told you, I’d have to kill you.... only joking. On a serious note though it would be silly of me to give out all of my suppliers details but if you head on over to the “links” page of my website you will find a few suppliers websites listed there. I would also like to add that where possible I try and use handmade or fair trade beads and findings.
11) I have a discount code which I would like to use, how do I do this?
You can use your discount code either at one of our stalls (check out our events page to see where we shall be visiting next) or via the online shop. Click HERE for more information.
